Welcome to

Owl Tree Acres

Welcome to Owl Tree Acres, the first and only lavender farm in Suffolk.
The farm started with a tree. Not just any tree. It was a tree that held a promise, an idea, a dream. A tree that we fell in love with while looking for a quiet place to build a home. We finally found that place on a few acres in Suffolk, nestled within a peaceful gathering of trees, next to a quaint lake. One of the trees seemed like the perfect place for an owl to nest; tall, leafy with a huge, dark hole right in the middle. We enjoyed the thought that at some point a family of owls might have made a home in the same place we were also creating a home. We called it the “owl tree” and observed it regularly while our house was being built. After we moved in, our kitchen window had a perfect view of our special tree. That view allowed us to witness a never before seen owl fly from the dark hole of our “owl tree”, a symbol of a story that became true, a dream that became a reality. This reminded us that everything on our property had potential, potential that could eventually support our family. The idea of a lavender farm started as a seed of a suggestion and grew into 100 realities, a lavender farm with 100 English and French lavender plants, with new plants added each year. Though still small, a little over 400 lavender bushes, Suffolk's first and only lavender farm ,“Owl Tree Acres” ,is ready to watch a dream grow into a reality.
